Feeling Low and Happy about it!

I am posting a few Low songs from "things we lost in the fire" in celebration of the fact that I just got my cd back after a long hiatus. I know they have newer albums, but this one always gets me.

The Strokes

I haven't heard the new Strokes album First Impressions of Earth yet. I was going to buy it on vinyl the week it came out, but the shop I was in wouldn't take a card. Now, I am stuck wanting it on vinyl enough to not buy the CD. I have heard a lot of bad, but the few songs I have listened too sound like The Strokes.

An Aquarium Drunkard has posted a few songs and a nice little review on his site. If you're curious, check it out there and if you want to tell me you love it or hate leave a comment

Boys Night Out - Medicating

I am not a huge fan of Boys Night Out, but their new singe, Medicating is awesome. A rocking melody with cool guitar lines and some awesome drum work. I heard it once and found myself singing it until I found the song.

Ryan Adams Lost Album "Destroyer" at BigO Magazine

Yeah, the album art is a little crazy but the songs are pretty good and the collaboration is excellent. According to BigO
For a few days (we can’t imagine Ryan Adams taking WEEKS), Ryan Adams, Gillian Welch and David Rawlings recorded 13 songs that have since become known as the Destroyer album. Then abruptly, Adams abandoned the sessions and started from scratch with Ethan Johns to record what was to be his solo debut album, Heartbreaker, released in 2000.

Back with She Wants Revenge

I know, I know... As soon as people stop checking out my site I go and update. I can't help it. I get busy with other things and I am away for awhile. I am put to shame by kick ass sites like Corey's Do It Old Maid and I tell myself how bad I suck. Then, someone like She Wants Revenge kicks me in the head and makes me excited again. So I'm back for a little while. I will try to post at least once a week and if anyone cares they can check it out.

I heard She Wants Revenge on a fan video for Battlestar Galactica that I posted for No Blasters and they blew me away. Voice like Interpol, music like Joy Division and Lyrics that make you want to fall in lust or give up everything.
